PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The objective was to design a kiosk that travels across the United States to different college campuses in order to promote students’ visiting Istanbul. A total of five cultural elements were to be incorporated to enhance the user experience and encapsulate the essence of the city, and the footprint of the kiosk was not to exceed 150 square feet. A total of two weeks was given to complete the project in order to demonstrate proficiency in Revit rendering.

CONCEPT
The Ottoman architecture found in Istanbul informs and inspires this contemporary interpretation of the city’s design traditions. The kiosk features Moorish geometric motifs and incorporates intricate patterns that are balanced with clean lines and simple textures. The harmony between openness and enclosure exudes a sense mystery and intrigue, while the contrast between shiny and matte materials creates visual interest.
